Setting it up

Lift off the fabric cover and fill the tank with room-temperature water to the 200 ml max line.
Add 9–13 drops of 100% pure essential oil directly into the water for a medium scent (7–9 for light, 13–17 for strong).
Replace the cover, plug in the adapter, then press the mist button to switch between continuous and intermittent mode.
Press the light button to cycle through 100% brightness, 50% brightness, candlelight, and off.

How much oil to use

Seven to nine drops in a full 200 ml tank for a light scent, 9–13 for medium — the everyday default — and 13–17 for strong. Half a tank takes 3–5 drops.

Choosing a mode

Continuous empties the 200 ml tank in 4–5 hours.
Intermittent stretches the same tank to 8–10 hours at 15–20 ml per hour. This is the setting for a full night.

Auto shut-off cuts power when the tank runs dry, so a forgotten diffuser is not a problem.

Keeping it clean

After each tank: tip out any water left over and wipe the reservoir dry. Leaving oily water standing is what builds the film that weakens the mist.
Weekly: clean the ceramic disc at the bottom of the reservoir with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. It takes about thirty seconds.
Monthly, or whenever the mist thins: fill to the line with equal parts water and white vinegar, run for five minutes, empty, rinse and wipe dry. This clears mineral scale, which builds faster with hard water.

What to avoid

Pre-diluted fragrance oils. Carrier oils coat the disc and cut mist output. Use 100% pure essential oils only.
Filling past the max line. Overfilling pushes water into the air outlet and the unit spits rather than mists.
Hot water. It does not produce more mist and it stresses the disc. Room-temperature water is correct.
Abrasive cleaners on the disc. A scratched disc never mists the same way again.
